The Blue Horsehead Nebula
IC 4592 and 4601 in Scorpius
is an interesting complex of dusty reflection nebulae over 400 light-years away. The light of the bright star near the eye of the horse, is reflected off of dark interstellar dust, which scatters its blue light in the primary nebula, IC 4592. At top right, in the horse's neck, is another lovely reflection nebula,
IC 4601. My thanks to Jim Misti for acquiring this data with Steve Mazlin's Takahashi FSQ.
