van den Bergh152 in Cepheusis a mysterious, almost ghostly apparition which falls under the classification Reflection Nebula.  vdB152 at center is surrounded by a bevy of dust, most interesting of which is the long trail which continues on at left for more than double the span captured by this field.  Note the bubble surrounding the bright blue star at the nebula's center.  This is curious as this star is not related to the nebula itself.  This marks the first published image using PixInsight as part of my workflow.  Return to the Gallery
