is a cometary globule, so-called because of its resemblance to a comet. The nebula has a dense head formed of Hydrogen gas and dust,
1,500 light years in diameter, with a faint tail about 8 light years in length. The 'Hand of God' appears about to seize the edge-on galaxy,
ESO 257-19. In actuality, the galaxy is over 100,000,000 light years further away.
