NGC 1433 Galaxy
PGC 13586 in Horologium
is a member of the Dorado Group, and was discovered by James Dunlop in 1826. At a distance of 46,000,000 light-years from Earth,
NGC 1433 is a barred spiral Seyfert-type galaxy with a double ring structure. With the exception of the bar across its active nucleus,
the central region of the galaxy displays intense star formation activity, with an irregular star-forming ring.
Many thanks go out to my collaborator and friend, Mike Selby, who acquired and calibrated this fine data.
