NGC 7552 Galaxy
NGC 7552 in Grus
also known as IC 5294 is a face-on, barred spiral galaxy originally discovered in 1826 by James Dunlop and John Herschel.
At a distance of 60,000,000 light years from Earth, it is about 75,000 light years across,
and forms the Grus Quartet with NGC 7599, NGC 7590, and NGC 7582.
Many thanks to my collaborator and friend, Mike Selby, who acquired and calibrated this fine data from Observatorio El Sauce, Chile.
