The Shark Nebula
LDN 1235
is a dark nebula in the constellation Cepheus, about 650 light years away.
Part of a much larger molecular cloud of dark interstellar gas, it spans about 15 light years from head to tail.
The actual Shark Nebula is the dark spot in the shark's head, and includes two smaller nebulae, van den Bergh 149 and vdB 150.
Thanks to Ron Brecher for capturing this great OSC data. Here's a wider field version of this wonderful nebula.
