Wolf's Cave Nebula
B175 - vdB 152 - Ced 201 - Dengel-Hartl 5 - LBN 532/LDN 1221
is a marvelous region of interstellar dust, 1,400 light years away in northern Cepheus. The larger cloud at lower left is Barnard 175.
The long, upward reaching 'snake' is van den Bergh 152, terminating in the bright blue reflection nebula at center, Cederblad 201.
The little bright spot of red and blue near 6 o'clock is the ancient, supernova remnant, Dengel-Hartl 5.
At upper-right is Lynd's Bright Nebula 532 with Lynd's Dark Nebula 1221.
To me, the composition looks like an ocean-dwelling eel in pursuit of a jellyfish.
Thanks to Marcee Clark for the wonderful RGB data, and Tim Martin for the icing on the cake- the Ha component!
